Home-Start Camden Trustees Needed
Home-Start Camden’s (HSC) mission is: ‘to enable Camden families experiencing stress or difficulties to meet the needs of their children under five’. Since 1995, the charity has provided a home-visiting family support service in which trained volunteers offer confidential support, friendship and practical help to families in the Borough of Camden who are going through a difficult time. Many families have a multiple range of problems including disability or health issues, isolation and lack of support, multiple births, low income or poor housing conditions.
The large network of volunteers are recruited, trained and coordinated by a small team of paid staff, and ongoing funding is essential for the smooth running of the family and volunteer support service.
HSC is governed by its unpaid directors, the Board of Trustees, including the Chair, the Treasurer and the other elected directors. The Board meets every two months and delegates the day to day operations of the charity to the Manager. Each Trustee takes a lead responsibility or contributes to a Sub-committee to assist with the running of the organisation.

We are seeking new trustees now
Currently HSC is seeking new Trustees with an interest and skills in the following areas, who can offer their time and expertise as part of the governance management Board. Please note these are volunteer positions with reasonable expenses only paid.

Trustee Role descriptions
|Role||Grant Co-ordinator (Trustee with volunteer support)|
|Description||· HSC Trustee / Volunteer to work alongside the Grant Funding Consultant to support the completion of funding applications with a particular focus on providing the HSC data required
· Coordinate volunteers engaged by HSC to support the Sustainability committee
· Maintain the ongoing relationship with the funders, and ensuring that the outcome measures are provided on a regular basis as per the terms of the grant

|Role||Business Relations Co-ordinator (Trustee with volunteer support)|
|Description||· HSC Trustee(s) to work alongside the Business Engagement Consultant to support the research of potential funders, and provide HSC insights required to create compelling presentation material.
· Coordinate volunteers engaged by HSC to support the Sustainability committee.
· Maintain the ongoing relationship with the funders, and provide regular updates on the difference their funding has made.

|Description||· HSC Trustee supported by a small team of volunteers to organise a regular series of events and social activities to raise funds and engage with the local community|

|Description||· HSC Trustee / volunteer to promote HSC activities and successes on an ongoing basis through a variety of channels including local press, newsletters, social media

· Promote the support received from funders, supporters and sponsors
